4th Quarter Happenings

Thanks you for your support of Chorus at the April 13th Chipotle Fundraiser. We raised over $500!

Congratulations to Howard Kim, Marissa Kovach, and Erin Sullivan on being selected for Governor's School for the Arts for 2013!

Congratulations to Jillian Fitzpatrick who won the American Idol Experience at Disney World!

Don't forget the following dates:

4/8 & 22- Pyramid Concert Rehearsals from 2:30-4:30pm at FHS

4/24- Pyramid Concert at the Sherwood Center in Fairfax @ 7 p.m.

4/26- A Cappella sings at the Sherwood Center @ 7 p.m. to kickoff the City of Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts

4/27- Plastic Modelers fundraiser at FHS from 8am-5pm

4/22 through 5/10- Auditions for Spring Spotlights 

5/22 - Chorus Spring Show in the FHS Atrium at 7 p.m.

This Year!

In October we sang at the Homecoming Football Game, travelled to Farmville for Senior Honor Choir Auditions, Held our family dinner night, performed at the Schessinger Center, and had our concert rained out by Hurricane Sandy!!!

In November we performed at the University of Maryland, Eagleview Elementary School, had our district chorus auditions, had a student perform with the senior honors choir, and held our choir movie night!

In December we sang for the City of Fairfax Celtic Christmas program and we sang at the White House. We sang Carmina Burana with the full band and orchestra and had an outstanding and memorable Winter Concert

In February we hosted a very successful District Chorus Event.

In March, all choral ensembles received superior ratings at Choral Performance Assessment.

Student Achievement:

Deanna Payne was selected for the Senior Honors Choir!

36 Fairfax students were selected for District Chorus!

2 chorual students were named All-Virginia Choir Alternates.
